Anzac day comprehension

whanau, here are Anzac day questions. In these Anzac day questions there will be things about Anzac day like what is the Anzac spirit.


1. When is Anzac day?
Anzac day is on Saturday 25th April.

2. Why did Anzac land in Gallipoli?
The ANZAC landing was part of the effort to knock Turkey out of the World War One, helping
the Allied Forces to victory.



3. What were some new technologies used in World War One?
Tanks, Air planes and Machine Guns.

4. What is the ANZAC Spirit?
The Anzac were reportedly brave, resilient and had a good sense of humour that cheered up
everyone around them. These qualities became known as the ANZAC spirit and many of these
traits are part of Australians and New Zealander values and culture.


5. Lest We Forget means that we should honour and remember the sacrifice of those who fight
for Australia, as well as do everything possible to avoid another brutal conflict that damages
people in the future.

What does ANZAC stand for?
ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
