Kia Ora bloggers, in this lock down my mum has been cooking a lot and my siblings and I have been helping. My mum has been cooking food to give to her friends so she can make money in the lock down. She makes Topai, it's a Tongan food. The ingredients are coconut, flour and sugar. You can make it at home. First mix the flour and coconut together. Then boil water, then mix the flour and water with water but not the boiled water.
Your basically making dough, then when the water is boiled you get a spoon, take a spoon full of the dough and put it in the boiled water. Then leave it to cook for half an hour. Then take out the dough and put sugar on it. Then enjoy!!! Here are some photos of us cooking.
Kia ora Keti. This sounds yum! I'm lucky that someone on my road owns a food truck and he is practising his bread recipes and has lots of spare loaves to give away. Do you think people might need some more information such as the amounts of ingredients or an equipment list? Keep up the blogging!
